Jordan started teaching at UMA during the 2020-2021 school year. He completed his education training and licensure at St. Olaf before going on to receive a Masters in English from St. Thomas. Before coming to UMA Jordan spent about five years working in various high schools in and around St. Paul.

Jordan has always had a passion for progressive education, and that interest brought him to Upper Mississippi Academy. He likes working here because he knows at UMA students have a chance to engage in project-based learning, enjoy small class size, and absorb themselves in real-world applications. Besides his two English classes, Jordan teaches a number of unique electives including Theater, Film Studies, and Comics and Graphic Novels.

Jordan lives in White Bear Lake with his partner and fellow educator. They love reading, taking outdoor adventures like hiking and kayaking, and travelling to England to visit Jordan’s family. While not at school they enjoying playing fetch with their dog Mr. Growls or chasing their cat Boogers through the garden.
