Position:  School Social Worker 1.0 FTE

Summary: UMA is currently seeking a School Social Worker that will be the link between school, home and community.  The School Social Worker will provide direct and indirect services to students, families and colleagues that promote student’s academic and social success.  This position is designated as 70% special education and 30% general education, serving primarily students in grades 6-8.  Full job description can be downloaded below.

Position:  ELL Teacher .25 FTE

Summary: UMA is currently seeking an English Language Learner teacher that will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the English Language Learning program for eligible students.  The ELL Teacher works closely with grade level faculty to build teachers’ expertise in instructing students who are English Language learners; works directly with students to support their learning needs; and communicates frequently with families providing them with information about language and literacy development and their students’ progress.

Position: Special Education Teacher-Secondary

Summary: UMA is currently seeking secondary a special education teacher to work with all teachers, via a push-in model, to create differentiated learning experiences in the general education setting to the greatest extent possible.  We want to add individuals to our team who are flexible, creative, and adaptable to multiple student learning styles and environments. This position will work with the High School Team to provide 1:1 programming for a student.

Position: Special Education Paraprofessional

Summary: UMA is currently seeking a full time paraprofessional who is passionate about being part of a collaborative team to ensure that students succeed in a general education curriculum. Our team works with all teachers, via a push-in mode (currently online only), to create differentiated learning experiences in the general education setting to the greatest extent possible.   Position to start January 18, 2021.

Position: Substitute Teacher (pool)

Summary: UMA is currently seeking substitute teachers to join our pool of available teachers for full or half days. We want to add individuals to our team who are flexible, creative, and adaptable to multiple student learning styles and environments. Appreciation of excessive silliness a plus.
