UMA Announces New Home

We are excited to share the news that UMA has found a permanent home in downtown St. Paul at 19 East Exchange StreetWe will be located in the space formerly occupied by McNally Smith School of Music and will share our building with the History Theatre.

Our new location is very accessible by public transportation and is only a short walk to the Minnesota State Capitol, Minnesota History Center, Fitzgerald TheaterScience Museum of Minnesota, George Latimer Central Library, Landmark CenterMississippi River Visitor Center, and more. We have already started to collaborate with the History Theatre and can’t wait to explore opportunities with more downtown businesses, government, and community members.

Our new building and location will be a great asset as we continue to live our values of collaboration, community engagement, creativity, and discovery.

The build out of the new UMA will begin soon, so we can greet next year’s students with an innovative, hands-on learning environment!

Please contact UMA Board of Directors President, Joe Klancher, or UMA Executive Director, Harry Adler with any questions.
