Monday, November 5: 7th Grade Field Trip to Northrup
The 7th-grade students are attending a dance performance at Northrup Auditorium on the University of Minnesota campus. Pixel, featuring the dazzling hip-hop based choreography of Mourad Merzouki, the cutting-edge digital projections of Adrien M and Claire B, and the Middle Eastern-influenced cinematic musical score of Armand Amar.
Friday, November 9: High School Community Friday
- 9th graders are headed to Duluth this Friday as part of their Design & Engineering class. In the morning, they will be at the Duluth Airport visiting Monaco Air, the control tower, and the FlyDuluth hangar, where they will sit in aircraft to learn about flight controls and avionics and meet with flight instructors. In the afternoon, students will head to University of Minnesota-Duluth and meet with professors and graduate students in a Robotics lab, MMAD lab, and the Civic Engineering building.
- As part of their American History curriculum, 10th graders will head to the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis to see the Special Exhibition: Alexander Hamilton and America’s First Central Bank.
- 11th graders will be at the Central Library in Downtown Minneapolis to learn about primary and secondary research tools and techniques in coordination with their Language Arts class. Students are currently working on a research paper on an ethical issue in science.
