Monday, November 12: PTO Meeting PTO meetings are open to all parents and community members. Monday's meeting will run from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the UMA cafeteria. Friday, November 9: High School Community Friday 9th and 10th graders are headed to the University of Minnesota St. Paul campus this Friday. Monday, November 5: 7th Grade Field Trip to Northrup The 7th-grade students are attending a dance performance at Northrup Auditorium on the University of Minnesota campus. Happenings This Week: October 29, 2018

Wednesday, October 31: Halloween (no costumes, please) UMA does not allow Halloween costumes to be worn at school. We find this a distraction to our learning environment. Please have your students save their costumes and makeup for trick-or-treating. Students dressed in clothing which appears to be a Halloween costume will be asked to change and could result in a phone call home to bring more clothes. Middle School Student Council

Middle School Student Council is a group of dedicated people who plan and execute fun events such as dances, donation drives, lock-ins, and much more. Student Council also listens to and helps find solutions for issues that peers may be facing. We are looking for honest, hard-working students to join our team! Wednesday, October 10: PSAT Our high school students who have completed Algebra II will take the PSAT this Wednesday and as we gear up for college admissions tests in the spring. Fall Conferences and Flu Shots

Fall conferences will take place on Thursday, October 4 (early release for students at 12:20 p.m.) from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  There will also be limited spots available on Friday, October 5 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Flu shots will be available during conferences on October 4 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Please bring insurance information for billing purposes.
