Volunteer at UMA

There’s no doubt about it, UMA would not be as special a school with dedicated volunteers!

We welcome parents, relatives, friends, and community supporters into our learning community to enrich the educational experiences on our campus.

While teachers will post classroom helper and field trip chaperone opportunities on blog sites and class web pages, there are also some school-wide volunteer needs including for our Annual Spring Gala. We are always looking for people with varied talents and interests to support the outcomes and values of the core subjects as well as our four Experiential Learning Pathways, the differentiating framework for our program.

We are also looking for volunteers to assist in coordinating events, fundraisers including our Annual Fund Campaign, and other cool and important activities — all fantastic initiatives that support our school and our students! There large and small roles — any time you can commit is greatly appreciated. We always can use more help! Volunteering is also a great way to meet other parents and be part of creating a rich and meaningful experiences for our students!

Please send us a note about your interest on our PTO Email.

All volunteers having student contact in the school or on a field trips must submit and pass a background check before volunteering.

Please print and fill out the Volunteer Background Check Form and return it to Harry Adler, Executive Director, with an optional $8 check to cover the cost of your background check. Once submitted, someone at UMA will be in touch with the results.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at UMA!
