Ted Anderson

Associate Director/Principal

Ted Anderson (he, him, his)  has been an educator since the 1980’s, when he took a part time job teaching skating skills to elementary aged hockey players in his hometown of Fargo, ND. Since then his stops include: 

  • English language teaching assistant for seminary students in Budapest, Hungary
  • German language teacher in the woods of northern Minnesota
  • ELL para for students from Haiti, Iraq, Sudan, Bosnia and Vietnam
  • Coach of North Dakota’s first ever girls hockey team
  • 15 years of German and ELL teaching in the Twin Cities, including for the U of M as part of its College in the Schools program
  • Adult ESL teacher in St. Paul for students from Ethiopa, Somalia, Eritrea, 
  • Assistant principal at the John F. Kennedy School of Berlin, Germany, where he also taught German as a foreign language and English literature
  • Director of the Twin Cities German Immersion School in St. Paul

Outside of work, Ted loves reading, playing guitar and hockey, connecting with friends, cooking, walking his dogs, as well as laughing, eating and traveling with his partner and their two high school aged kids.
