Mark Dallmann

Language Arts 6, Social Studies 6

A lifelong Minnesotan, Mark enjoys all seasons and spends as much time outdoors as possible. A year round camper, he enjoys biking, hiking and paddling in the warmer months and skating, skiing, snowshoeing and winter camping when it’s cold. When forced inside, he dabbles in quilting, cooking, loves to read and hopes someday to master the acoustic guitar.

Mark graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Child Development and an M.Ed. in education. He has 25 years of teaching experience, and during that time he has worked with children ages 3 through 14. A firm believer that children’s innate curiosity naturally propels learning, process and inquiry-based instruction defines his teaching style, and he is a founding member of UMA. Mark also enjoys facilitating student trips, and he has taken groups on archaeological digs to Arizona, Colorado and Illinois in addition to winter camping/dogsledding excursions to the BWCAW (Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness).
