Lesley Ernst

Special Education Coordinator

Lesley Ernst is entering her 21st year as a special educator. She has worked with children of all ages, from preschool through post-high school, in a number of disability areas.

Lesley is a great fan of music, portrait and action photography, and the outdoors. She writes, composes and records Social Songs for Learning, and she sang on the Minnesota Zephyr Dinner Train in Stillwater, MN for 13 years. Lesley is a life-long fan of gymnastics and is a former gymnast, judge, and coach, and a current volunteer and spectator in the sport. She has completed dozens of triathlons, has ridden her bicycle across Iowa seven times, and can be found most days either swimming, biking, or walking. She firmly believes that sunshine and exercise are great medicine! She also enjoys stand-up paddle-boarding and kayaking in the summer and skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, and ice skating in the winter.

Lesley is a graduate of Burnsville High School and the University of Minnesota. She has a Masters of Education degree in Special Education. Lesley lives in Apple Valley with husband Mike, daughter Becky, and cats Izzy, Nomi, and Drizzle. Daughter Amy lives in Chaska with her husband Dan, son Sam, daughter Eden, and poodle Lucy.
