Jordan Tyler

Language Arts Teacher

Jordan started teaching at UMA with the 2020-2021 school year. After graduating from St. Olaf College with a degree in English, Jordan spent the last five years working in high schools in and around St. Paul. He is currently working on a Masters of English from the University of St. Thomas.
Jordan’s passion for progressive education has led him back home to the charter school system. He is excited to be at UMA, where he knows students have a chance to engage in project-based learning, small class sizes, and real-world applications.
Jordan lives in White Bear Lake with his partner and fellow educator Sabra. They love reading, taking outdoor adventures such as hiking or kayaking, chasing their cat Boogers through the garden, and visiting Jordan’s family in the United Kingdom.
