Cassie Bowen is excited to be joining UMA as a paraprofessional. She has worked as an Educational Assistant for three years in district 191 (Burnsville) and has helped students of all grade levels. Cassie’s favorite moments are when she sees the light switch flip in a student and they are able to achieve their goal.
Cassie is a graduate from University of Wisconsin – River Falls with a bachelor’s in field biology and an emphasis in entomology (insects). She is an alumni of the School of Environmental Sciences (SES), also known as the “zoo school” in Apple Valley. During the summer months she works for Metropolitan Mosquito Control District (MMCD) where she identifies and counts mosquitoes for treatments.
Cassie currently lives with her partner on a hobby farm in Rosemount, MN. She helps care for and maintain a small zoo of animals at home which includes chickens, ducks, goats, dogs, ferrets, snakes, salamanders, and many cats! When not having fun with animals, she enjoys video games, table top roleplaying games with friends, quilting, and gardening.
